On 15th of March the Expert Deployment for Governance and Economic Growth (EDGE) Project hosted the intensive workshop for the Project Reform Offices’ experts developed by Yaryna Kluchkovska, the guru of communication.
Yaryna Kluchkovska – the expert with more than 20-year experience specializing in communications strategy, advising managers on communications, crisis communication and communication of changes.
This time we talked about crisis communication: how to communicate in difficult information situations, in which cases it is better to hold a ground or make a pause, when it’s better to hold a press-conference and when to post a news in social networks on time being a few steps ahead of distracters.
Communications at the government and national level require careful information steps on behalf of the communication team. It's important to be a professional and skilled expert to understand how to respond to compromising news in media space.
The participants of the event also analyzed cases and practiced it in groups.
In general, the workshop was rather practical and useful for getting hands-on experience in managing adequate communication of reforms.
The Professionals for Reform Support Mechanism (PRSM) team of the EDGE project continues to form agenda of further events to improve the knowledge and skills of the Reform Office’s experts. The next event is scheduled for the end of spring and will be announced in advance.
